Simple Woman's Daybook, December 15th

FOR TODAY...Monday, December 15, 2008

OUTSIDE MY WINDOW...a very windy, snowish-sleetish, blustery day

I AM THINKING...how quickly this Christmas season is going

FROM THE LEARNING ROOMS...Gideon and Blend Ladder pages, Daddy's finishing up K with Connor, while I take Kylie to the doctor

I AM THANKFUL FOR...Antibiotics...the babies have had very bad, lingering colds, and I finally broke down and filled the prescriptions the doctor gave us a week and a half ago

FROM THE KITCHEN...Brian bought a HUGE Turkey and a HUGE Ham at the grocery last night...since it's just the 8 of us this year, I'm going to be googling ham and turkey leftover recipes...

I AM WEARING...gray fleece pants, Liberty University Tee

I AM READING...Dicken's A Christmas Carol aloud to the kids, Hebrews 1, Revelation 4

I AM HOPING...the doctor gives us a good pediatric neurosurgeon referral this afternnon for a follow-up on Kylie's back

I AM CREATING...my own homeschool curriculum...we've come to the reality that we simply cannot afford MFW's 1st and RTR in the Spring

I AM HEARING...Connor read his word list page (as he makes a multitude of noises with his mouth...reminds me of my brother doing homework back in the day)

AROUND THE HOUSE...I somehow got behing on laundry...so there's about 6 loads to finish today

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...twinkling Christmas Tree lights

A FEW PLANS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...get all our school work done for our Christmas break...practice, practice, practice Away in a Manger (the kids will be singing at church Sunday night)...more Christmas movies with the kids (we still have Polar Express and Eloise's Christmas to watch, yay!)

HERE IS A PICTURE THOUGHT I AM SHARING WITH YOU...our well house and the snowish-sleet...I suppose this is as close as I'll get to a White Christmas
