korinne turned thirteen today. we officially have two teenagers in the house. two lovely, fun, wonderful teenagers.

18 april

we visited the greenville zoo today. then had a picnic, and played on the playground.

we had a good time.

backyard soccer. with a basketball. ... they had fun!

the oldest catches. in brand new gear. ... and pretty well too.

the playground is suddenly very fun.

sixteen. that is all.

i love zach's face. it sums up how we all pretty much feel at this point. six days without brian. i bet if the kids took a picture of me right now ... i'd have the same look on my face.

another sunrise. another day. 

where i blew it.

 i suppose my constant mistakes and constant apologies give my children plenty of opportunity to practice giving grace.

* i just wish it wasn't always with their momma. (i should be doing better than this by now)

the word school does not impress him. but writing his letters in cool whip is hard to resist.

we were running late. way late. as in we were the last ones there, and everyone stared as we walked all the way to the second pew and sat down. 

but i still made them pause on the front stoop for (easter) bunny ears.

30 march

eighteen easter egg dye tablets, thirty-six tablespoons of white vinegar, nine cups of water, eighteen coffee mugs, eighteen spoons, five tea towels, thirty-two hard boiled eggs, and five excited little boys.

29 march

he is six now. the ( lop-sided ) triple layer chocolate cake, star wars sprinkles, and swirly candles prove it. 

and the blue boots.

he always asks me if i've counted heads. i always say yes. eight.

they were supposed to be for bird feeders ... but the krispy kreme doughnut boys talked her into bug catchers (again) instead.

place (banana) sticker on forehead. smile.

a whirlwind visit with my mom, my sister, and my nephews. it was loud, it was mess, and it was fast.
